About Emily

Emily Kim is an associate at Monkhouse Law. She holds an Honours BA combining Legal Studies and Sociology with a Criminology specialization from the University of Waterloo, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. She spent time studying abroad through exchange programs at the University of Exeter in England and City University of Hong Kong, which gave her exposure to different legal systems. During law school, she worked as a legislative intern at the Senate of Canada and took on student leadership roles with the Ontario Bar Association and Pro Bono Students Canada. She is fluent in Korean.
