About Elise

Elise Schopper-Brigel has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1995 and was previously a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada from 1987 to 2006. She is qualified by the Law Society of BC as a family mediator and practises family law, fertility law, collaborative family practice, and family law mediation, acting for clients using third-party assisted reproduction as well as those negotiating separation, marriage, or cohabitation agreements. She is a charter member of the BC Collaborative Roster Society, founded Collaborative Law International's European Institute, and is a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution section. She lived in Europe for over a decade and speaks German.
