About Elise

Elise Morissette is the founding lawyer of Morissette & Avocat.e.s, a Montreal employment and labour law firm Elise Morissette established in 2017. Elise Morissette began a career on the labour law team of a major municipal legal department before founding the firm to focus on workers' rights, social justice, and equity. Elise Morissette represents unions, non-unionized employees, and managers before administrative and civil tribunals, with expertise in grievance and dispute arbitration, judicial review, collective agreement negotiation, labour standards, and termination and restrictive covenant litigation. Elise Morissette also advises clients facing workplace difficulties to help them avoid litigation. Elise Morissette was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2015, holds a Master's in Labour Law (2021) and a Bachelor of Laws (2014) from UQAM, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Université de Montréal (2010). Elise Morissette is a member of the Association des juristes progressistes.
