About Dustin

Dustin Down advises business clients across a range of industries, including resource development, banking, gaming, professional services, and technology. He has particular expertise helping clients buy or sell a business, complete financings, and navigate regulatory compliance, and he also structures and advises limited partnerships. In his real estate practice, Dustin handles purchases and sales of houses and condominiums, mortgage refinancings, and commercial leasing matters for landlords, property managers, and tenants. Before forming Down & Company Professional Corporation, formerly known as Scott & Down LLP, he spent several years at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, a major national business law firm. Earlier still, he owned and operated a community newspaper business in British Columbia. Dustin earned his law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and his Bachelor of Arts from Kings University College.
