About Donnaree

Donnaree Nygard has practised for more than 30 years, with a focus on constitutional, administrative, and national security law alongside commercial matters such as insolvency and class actions. She has argued cases at every level of the British Columbia and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and served as co-lead counsel for Canada at the Public Order Emergency Commission. For over eight years she represented the Canada Revenue Agency, the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, and other federal departments in matters under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, and served for several years on the BC Model Insolvency Order Committee.
