About Don

Don Lidstone, K.C., is Senior Partner at Lidstone & Company and is licensed in British Columbia, Alberta, and Yukon. His practice focuses generally on local government law, including governance, finance and taxation, land use and development, environmental law, Aboriginal law, and bylaw and legislative drafting. He has chaired the Sustainable Region Initiative, the Liquid Waste Expert Review Panel, the Fire Services Review Panel, the Whistler Waste Blue Ribbon Panel, and the Municipal Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association's BC Branch, and has consulted on the development of the Community Charter and other municipal statutes. Lidstone was designated King's Counsel in 2008 and received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013.
