About Derek

Derek Knoke is an associate at Lenczner Slaght whose litigation work covers appeals, commercial disputes and defamation, and who also acts for physicians facing medical malpractice and professional liability claims. Before joining the firm, he articled at the Court of Appeal for Ontario as a judicial law clerk to judges of that court. Knoke earned his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017, winning several course prizes, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2018. He also holds a PhD in communication from the University of St. Michael's College, Toronto (2014) and a BA from Lee University in Tennessee (2002).
