About Dennis

Dennis Coates received his Bachelor of Commerce and law degrees from UBC, graduating in 1967 at the top of his class. He became a partner in MJB's predecessor firm in 1982 and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1987, becoming a senior associate with MJB Lawyers in 2014. Dennis focuses on administrative law, corporate and commercial law, and real estate development, and is a leading professional on issues facing the hospitality industry in the province, including liquor licensing. He celebrated 50 years with the Law Society in Vancouver on June 13, 2018.
