About Deanna

Deanna Paolucci is the founder and counsel at Paolucci Law in Ottawa, focusing on family, child protection, and immigration law. She earned a BA Honours in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University in 2006 and an LLB from the University of Notre Dame in 2011, then completed the NCA exams for Canadian law equivalency in 2013 and was called to the bar in 2014. Before practicing in Ottawa, she worked in criminal defence in Australia, international law at a German law firm, and with the UNODC on cases involving Somali pirates in Kenya. She's a Barrister, Solicitor, and Notary Public, and serves as a government-appointed Children's Lawyer through the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
