About Dawuta

Dawuta Kalio is licensed to practise law in both Alberta and Nigeria and focuses on criminal defence and estate planning, including wills, personal directives and enduring powers of attorney. Her dual background in law and social work grounds a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach, and as a registered social worker in Alberta with frontline experience she connects clients to community resources alongside legal advice. She is especially focused on advocating for vulnerable individuals facing barriers within the criminal justice system, and she volunteers with NKA Counseling and Consulting Inc. supporting asylum seekers.
