About David

David Zitzerman serves as counsel in Goodmans' Entertainment Law Group and has practised entertainment law exclusively for more than 25 years. His work focuses on the film, television, and online industries in Canada and the United States, with clients including independent producers, Canadian networks, Hollywood studios, cable and streaming services, and talent guilds and agencies. He is recognized as a media and entertainment lawyer by Chambers Canada, The Legal 500 Canada, and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and was named Toronto Entertainment Lawyer of the Year for 2024 and 2020 by Best Lawyers in Canada. David regularly lectures on entertainment law, appears on BNN Bloomberg and CBC Radio, and speaks at entertainment-related seminars internationally. He is an adjunct professor teaching entertainment law at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
