About David

David leads Samfiru Tumarkin LLP's national Employment Law practice from the firm's Toronto office, advising employees throughout Ontario on workplace disputes. His files often involve wrongful dismissal, severance negotiations, contract reviews, harassment and discrimination, and human rights claims, along with just-cause termination allegations and workplace investigations. He appears before Ontario courts and administrative tribunals and has secured notable results for clients, including in Williamson v. Brandt Tractor and Pham v. Qualified Metal Fabricators. He joined the firm in 2012 after articling at a Toronto employment and labour firm, and now guides strategy across the firm's employment team.
