About David

David Sowemimo founded Watchmaker Law and represents plaintiffs in serious and catastrophic personal injury cases across Alberta, including cases involving quadriplegia, paraplegia, and multiple fatalities. Before practicing law, he worked as an insurance adjuster, experience he now draws on when negotiating with insurers and building claims strategy. He serves as a commissioner on the Edmonton Police Commission and chairs its Professional Standards Committee, and he started a scholarship for Black students at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law. He is a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Canadian Bar Association, and he has been recognized with the Judge Ross A. Award and the Emerging Leader Award. He is fluent in English and Yoruba.
