About David

David Halkett was called to the British Columbia bar in 1992 after earning his law degree at UBC in 1991. His family law practice covers the full range of matrimonial matters, from cohabitation and separation agreements to litigation over child custody, spousal and child support, and asset division. He has represented the Ministry of Children and Family Development and the Ministry of Employment and Assistance, and has argued cases at the Court of Appeal on spousal support and commercial disputes. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association's family law and civil litigation subsections.
