About Darrin

Darrin Clayton has practised family law in Ottawa for over 27 years. Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, he moved to Ottawa in 1985 to attend Carleton University, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts (Highest Honours) in Criminology. He earned his law degree at Queen's University between 1990 and 1993, articling at a large downtown Ottawa firm before working at Lyon and Rick following his call to the bar. He opened his own practice, Clayton Law, in October 1999, focusing exclusively on family law and wills and estates. He is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario, and the Ottawa Collaborative Family Law Association, and he also works as a certified family mediator through the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario.
