About Daniel

Daniel C. Harder is an in-house consultant and a founding partner of MHR Law LLP. He grew up on a mixed farm in Central Alberta, where he farmed grain, beef cattle and dairy, before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Canadian history and his Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Calgary, in 1989 and 1993. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1994 and also holds a 1994 certificate in mediation of family and divorce conflicts from the Law Society of Alberta. Since January 2023 he's no longer practicing but continues to support the firm's associates and staff, and his broad-based practice has included corporate, wills, real estate, family and civil litigation matters. Dan taught agricultural law at Olds College for a decade and has served on the boards of the Olds Historical Society and Olds Koinonia Christian School Society.
