About Dale

Dale H. Lastman chairs Goodmans LLP. His practice covers corporate, commercial, and securities law, and he counsels clients on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and business restructurings. He sits on the board of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and serves as an alternate governor of the NHL and NBA; from 2019 to 2022 he chaired the CFL's Board of Governors and now represents the Toronto Argonauts as governor. He's a director and former chair of Baycrest Health Sciences and an honorary trustee of the Hospital for Sick Children, and he also sits on the boards of RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust and Roots Corporation. He holds the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario, and he's an honorary captain of the Royal Canadian Navy. York University awarded him an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
