About Daho

Daho Mokhtar is an immigration lawyer who has practiced since being called to the Barreau du Québec in 1989. Mokhtar holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., 1988) and a Master's degree in Labour and Social Law (LL.M., 1991), both from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and completed the École du Barreau du Québec program in June 1989. Mokhtar has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association since 1989 and of the Association québécoise des avocates et avocats en droit de l'immigration (AQAADI) since its founding, and works with Quebec and Canadian immigration authorities under formal agreements and directives. The practice handles Canadian permanent residence applications for skilled workers and business people, asylum claims, family sponsorship, and recourse before administrative and judicial tribunals in cases of adverse immigration decisions. For Canadian residents, the practice also covers wrongful dismissal claims and related administrative and judicial recourse.
