About D.
D. Cameron Black practises commercial real estate law in Calgary. He earned a B.A. from the University of Calgary in 1982 and an LL.B., cum laude, from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law in 1986. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 1987 and worked as an associate at Code Hunter (now Gowling WLG) before serving twelve years as senior legal counsel for Western Canada at TrizecHahn Office Properties. He then spent nearly fifteen years as Vice President, Legal Counsel, Western at Brookfield Office Properties, working on developments including Bankers Hall and Bankers Court in Calgary, Canada Place in Edmonton, and Brookfield Place Calgary. In 2015 he founded DC Black Law, where he also advises physician groups on practice agreements across Alberta. He has participated in real estate conference panels and provided expertise in precedent-setting court cases.
