About Clare
Clare Brunetta has practised law in Northwestern Ontario for over 35 years, having been called to the bar in 1981. He serves on the board of directors of the Lawyers' Professional Indemnity Company (LawPRO), currently chairing its Governance Committee, and is a past president of the Rainy River Law Library Association and founding chair of the Riverside Foundation for Health Care. He is a past member of the Law Society of Upper Canada's Joint Working Group on Real Estate, a past chair of the Federation of Ontario Law Associations' Real Estate Committee, and a past co-chair of the Working Group on Lawyers and Real Estate. He has served as a Deputy Judge of the Ontario Small Claims Court since 1991. Clare has written papers and presented continuing legal education programs for the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada, focused on real estate, including cottage conveyancing and the cross-border tax implications for U.S. non-residents who own property in Canada.
