About Brunetta Law Professional Corporation

Brunetta Law Professional Corporation is a family run law firm in Fort Frances, Ontario, with roots in Northwestern Ontario going back more than 50 years. The firm practices real estate law, covering residential, commercial, cottage, and farmland transactions, along with wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning, and corporate and commercial law. Two lawyers work out of the firm's office on Victoria Avenue in the Rainy River District: Clare Allan Brunetta and Paul Ernest Brunetta.

Clare Brunetta was called to the bar in 1981 and has practiced law in the region for more than 35 years, with a focus on real estate and the cross border tax matters that come up when American residents own property in Canada under the Canada-U.S. Tax Convention. Clare has served as a Deputy Judge of the Ontario Small Claims Court since 1991 and sits on the Board of Directors of Lawyers' Professional Indemnity Company (LawPRO), the province's legal malpractice insurer, chairing its Governance Committee.

Paul Brunetta came to law as a second career after working as a human resources advisor in Alberta's oil sands industry. Paul earned a law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2009 and a master's degree in international business and trade law in 2011, and is admitted to practice in both Ontario and Illinois.
