About Chukwuma Ikechukwu (Ik) Agha

Ik Agha is an associate lawyer at Sage Law Group, a family law practice serving clients in Barrie, Orillia, the GTA and across Ontario. Ik handles a wide range of family law matters and is committed to careful, client-centred representation grounded in professionalism, integrity and service.

Ik's interest in family law goes back to law school at the University of Hertfordshire, where work as a student in the family law clinic first sparked it. An LLB from Hertfordshire came first, then a Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, conferred in February 2023. Articling was spent in personal injury law, yet family law stayed the goal, and after the call to the Bar of Ontario it became the focus of Ik's practice.

Having lived, studied and worked on three continents, Ik brings a real respect for different cultures and legal systems to each file. That background makes it easier to relate to clients from many communities and to pair practical insight with cultural understanding when a family is going through a major change.

For Ik, practising law is a way of living out faith in Christ, and that faith shapes a commitment to treating every client with compassion, respect and honesty. Away from the office, Ik spends time with family, works out at the gym, plays football and enjoys a good series binge, and cares about community engagement and personal growth.
