About Christine
Christine E. Silverberg leads a diverse litigation, regulatory and advocacy practice at SilverbergLegal, which she launched in 2015 after retiring from a long career in policing and practising at a national law firm and at Wolch deWit Silverberg & Watts. She previously served as Calgary's Chief of Police from 1995 to 2000, following senior policing roles in Ontario and Alberta. Her practice covers public and administrative law, regulatory investigations and enforcement, governance matters for non-profit and public-sector clients, and employment, labour and family law. She has represented clients before administrative tribunals on occupational health and safety, environmental and securities matters, and has represented First Nations and non-profit organizations on governance and financial issues. She holds an LL.B. from the University of Calgary, an M.A. in Criminology from the University of Toronto, and is a Qualified Arbitrator with the ADR Institute of Canada. She received an honorary Doctor of Laws from Mount Royal University in 2021.
