About Christian

Christian Michaud is a partner at Ellsworth Johnson Michaud focusing on litigation. Raised in Grand Falls/Grand-Sault, New Brunswick, he is fluent in English and French and has extensive experience in public law, administrative law and constitutional litigation, including advancing language rights. Christian is a former president and Bâtonnier (head) of the Law Society of New Brunswick and has appeared at all levels of court in Canada, including multiple appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada. His work has included constitutional challenges involving fundamental freedoms, democratic rights, language rights and minority education rights, and he has advised governments defending challenged legislation. He also practices in commercial disputes, contract interpretation, debt collection and banking law, and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada for his appellate practice.
