About Christa

Christa Big Canoe has served as legal advocacy director of Aboriginal Legal Services since 2011, appearing before all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, on behalf of Indigenous clients. She took a two and a half year leave to serve as senior and then lead commission counsel for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
