About Chris
Chris Schiffmann is the principal lawyer and owner of Schiffmann Law, devoting his practice exclusively to personal injury cases, including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, car and motorcycle accidents, long-term disability claims, slip and falls, and wrongful death matters. Before law school, he served as an Infantry Officer and Platoon Commander in the Canadian Armed Forces. Early in his career he worked as counsel for insurance companies, giving him insight into how insurers approach claims. Schiffmann is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Ontario Bar Association's Insurance Law Section, and the Advocates Society, and has lectured at continuing legal education programs on trial advocacy and litigation strategy. He holds a B.A. (Honours) from York University (1997), an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School (2000), and an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School (2008), and was called to the Ontario bar in 2002.
