About Chau
Chau Tran practises family law in Winnipeg through Tran Law Corporation, taking a collaborative approach aimed at resolving legal matters while minimizing lengthy court proceedings. Tran's own experience as a co-parent has shaped a focus on helping parents build positive co-parenting relationships, extending to work with intended parents, surrogates, and sperm and egg donors on surrogacy and donorship agreements, declarations of parentage, and the adoption process. Tran co-taught Clinical Family Law at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law and sits on the steering committee of Collaborative Practice Manitoba, co-chairing its Technology Committee. Tran holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba (2011) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), also from the University of Manitoba (1995). Tran has volunteered with A Woman's Place Legal Help Centre, Legal Aid Manitoba, Pro Bono Students Canada, and Siloam Mission, and belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Manitoba, Collaborative Practice Manitoba, Collaborative Professionals of Canada, and the American Bar Association.
