About Chantal
Chantal F. Paquette is a criminal defence trial lawyer based in West Vancouver, BC. She began training in criminal law in 2005 and has spent the past decade practising exclusively in that area, regularly conducting judge-alone and jury trials across a range of serious criminal charges. Her trial work includes matters involving credibility, expert evidence, and Charter litigation, and she has experience appearing in First Nations Court and Drug Treatment Court. Chantal is a Director of the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society and chairs the Criminal Tariff Committee for the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers, and she is a Principal at the UBC Criminal Law Clinic, where she trains and mentors law students in trial advocacy. She is a member of the Law Society of BC and the Vancouver Bar Association.
