About Casey

Casey Chisick is a partner at Cassels, serving as Chair of the firm's Intellectual Property and Entertainment, Media & Sports practices. Certified as a Specialist in Intellectual Property (Copyright) by the Law Society of Ontario, he offers clients expertise in copyright and intellectual property matters combined with first-hand experience in entertainment business. He provides transactional advice and litigation counsel to clients in music, film, television, broadcasting, theatre, video games, advertising, publishing, software, and fashion. As litigation counsel, he has appeared in seven seminal copyright appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada and served as President of the Copyright Society from 2022 to 2024.
