Carolyn P. Crate practises residential and commercial real estate, including purchases, sales, mortgages and title issues, along with estate planning and administration, wills, powers of attorney, and corporate and commercial transactions such as business asset and share purchases, shareholder agreements and incorporations. Carolyn is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Faculty of Law, completed the Ontario Bar Admission Course, and articled with Brown Beattie O'Donovan in London, Ontario. Before practising law, Carolyn worked in banking from 1987 to 1991 and as a property and casualty insurance broker from 1992 to 2000, earning an A.I.I.C. designation with High Honours; Carolyn also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from Seneca College and was awarded the Governor General's Academic Bronze Medal. Carolyn has served as Vice-Chair of the Sutton BIA since 2013 and previously served as a director of the York Region Law Association (2009 to 2012, then Secretary 2012 to 2013) and of GTTI (2006 to 2008).
