About Patrick
Patrick J. Fahey is retired from active practice and now serves as general counsel to Fahey Crate Law Professional Corporation, the firm formerly known as Patrick J. Fahey Law Office. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Patrick's College in Ottawa in 1956 and completed an LL.B. at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law in 1961, graduating with distinction. Patrick articled with Quain & Quain in Ottawa, completed the Bar Admission Course at Osgoode Hall Law School, and was called to the bar in 1963, remaining with Quain & Quain until 1965 before joining the legal staff of the T. Eaton Company from 1965 to 1969. In 1969, Patrick moved to the Sutton area and purchased the law practice that continues today, and has also served as a Small Claims Court judge since being appointed in 1977. Patrick is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations, and the York Region Law Association, and served on the board of Southlake Regional Health Centre (formerly York County Hospital) from 1977 to 1990. Patrick's daughter, Carolyn Crate, joined the firm in 2004, and son-in-law Jim Crate joined in 2007; Carolyn and Jim purchased the practice in January 2009.
