About Carlos

Carlos A. Abarca is the principal lawyer and notary public at Abarca Law in Kitchener. Born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo, he earned a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Waterloo, an M.A. from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa, and he is a licensed member of the Law Society of Ontario. Before starting his legal career, he spent a decade working across all levels of the Canadian government and with the U.S. federal government. He has practised at a mid sized Toronto firm representing major Canadian banks, at a boutique personal injury practice, and at full service firms in Kitchener and Cambridge, representing individuals, families, corporations, not for profit organizations, and municipalities. He has lived and worked across North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. He serves on COMPASS Kitchener, an advisory committee to city council, and is a member of the Waterloo Region Law Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
