About Bruce

Bruce Marks is an Ottawa lawyer and Notary Public for the Province of Ontario who was called to the Bar in 1993. He appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Ontario Municipal Board, litigating medical and professional malpractice, personal injury, and commercial, contract, and shareholder disputes. His commercial practice covers incorporation, corporate structuring, share offerings, securities, franchise agreements, and secured transactions, and he also advises rate-payers and developers on municipal law matters before the Ontario Municipal Board. He founded Marks Law LLP, earned a B.Soc.Sc. in Political Science and Economics and an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, and completed an LL.M. program at King's College, University of London. He previously served as an instructor for the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course in the Business Law Section, Corporate/Commercial Law.
