About Britney

Britney Cheyne articled with Woods Law after law school and was called to the bar in 2022. Before law school she worked for over seven years as a support worker for at-risk and diverse-abled youth, which sparked her focus on children's advocacy, and during law school she volunteered at the Family Law Assistance Clinic through Pro Bono Students Canada. Her practice centers on child protection law, representing parents, caregivers, family members, and youth in care as a member of the Counsel for Children lawyers' roster, and also includes assisted reproduction law, adoption, adult guardianship, and estate planning.
