About Brett

Brett Cavanaugh is a Saskatoon-based partner who chairs McKercher LLP's immigration practice group, focusing on employer-side immigration, education law, corporate and commercial matters, and international business transactions. His work includes Labour Market Impact Assessments, Provincial Nominee Programs, and compliance management for large foreign workforces, and he is regarded as an expert in post-secondary immigration. Before law, he founded a marketing consulting firm and taught in Taiwan. Brett earned a Bachelor of Commerce with great distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2003, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria in 2009, and a Master of Laws in International Economic and Business Law from Kyushu University in Japan in 2011, and was called to the bar in 2012.
