About Brad

Brad Halfin is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Goodmans, with a broad-based practice focused on construction litigation, arbitrations, and commercial litigation. His construction work involves resolving disputes among owners, general contractors, and subcontractors over construction liens, contract claims, and negligence, and he has significant experience with claims for additional compensation on extended-duration, complex construction projects. Halfin's broader commercial litigation practice includes insurance defence and real estate matters, and he has extensive experience in domestic and international arbitrations, including rent review and reset arbitrations for high-profile locations across Ontario. He regularly negotiates and drafts construction contracts for large capital and infrastructure projects throughout Ontario, and he's worked with owners and contractors on supplemental conditions to CCDC agreements and other contract documents. Chambers Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and Best Lawyers in Canada recognize his construction law work, and he's recommended by The Legal 500 Canada and featured in the Lexpert Special Edition: Infrastructure.
