About Blerta

Blerta Gjoci is an associate at Lenczner Slaght developing a litigation practice in commercial litigation, class actions, construction and infrastructure, and professional liability and regulation. She has appeared before administrative tribunals, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench, and summered and articled at the firm before her call to the Ontario bar in 2023. Blerta completed her JD at Western Law, where she competed on the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot team, and earlier interned with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees advocating on behalf of refugees before Canadian administrative bodies. She also contributed research to a project examining racial profiling by municipal police services in Canada. Before law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts with honours from the University of Toronto, majoring in criminology and sociolegal studies as well as employment relations.
