About Bessmah
Bessmah Hamed earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018. At Osgoode she competed in trial advocacy moots, winning the Ontario Arnup Cup, advancing to the national Sopinka Cup where she won Best Closing Argument, and placing first in an international ADR competition in Scotland. Through the Osgoode Mediation Clinic she mediated cases at Toronto courthouses. Before joining Kostyniuk & Greenside as an associate, she represented plaintiffs at a litigation boutique in matters including motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, medical malpractice, nursing negligence, long-term disability claims, and CPP disputes, and later practiced insurance defence litigation at a downtown Toronto firm. She continues to develop her civil litigation practice, drawing on experience from both the plaintiff and defence sides, and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers' Association, and the Advocates' Society.
