About Benjamin

Benjamin Rutherford is the founder of Rutherford Law and ADR, a litigator and condominium lawyer with extensive court and tribunal experience. Ben has represented condominiums in construction deficiency actions, compliance matters, contract and service-provider disputes, human rights disputes, employment and labour disputes, and shared-facilities disputes, and has defended property managers against CMRAO complaints. He also acts as a mediator and arbitrator, holding certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Advanced Alternative Dispute Resolution from Stitt Feld Handy, and previously mediated disputes for the West Scarborough Justice Committee. Ben holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School (2001) and an Honours B.A. (with Distinction) from the University of Toronto (1997). He also serves as a Deputy Judge in the Toronto Small Claims Court.
