About Benjamin

Benjamin (Ben) Rakochy was born and raised on a mixed grain and poultry farm north of Canora, Saskatchewan. After graduating law school in 2014, he articled with a firm in Melfort, gaining experience in agricultural legal issues, then worked for five years with a Saskatoon firm focused exclusively on family law before joining Scharfstein LLP in October 2022. He has a broad family law practice with a focus on separation and divorce involving agricultural property, and also practises child and family services law, representing child protection agencies, parents, and foster parents, and has appeared at all levels of court in Saskatchewan.
