Immigration LawBassam Azzi is a lawyer at Azzi Law with over ten years of practice in immigration and refugee law, handling cases of varying scope and complexity, including at the appellate level. He frequently represents clients before the Federal Court and all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. He holds both common law and civil law degrees from the University of Ottawa, where he also completed undergraduate degrees in biochemistry and psychology, and he clerked at the Federal Court after graduating. In 2017 he earned a master's degree in international criminal law focused on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2012 and serves as the Law Society of Ontario's representative on the Justice of the Peace Review Council. He has also taught in La Cite Collegiale's Paralegal Program and the University of Ottawa's French Law Practice Program, and is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
