About Bahar
Bahar Hafizi is a senior corporate commercial lawyer with over 20 years of experience, with a practice spanning corporate and commercial matters and a particular focus on secured lending and financial services. Before joining DuMoulin Black she spent most of her career at national firms, including as a partner, and later founded and led BH Legal, a boutique firm she ran for six years. Her lending practice includes advising financial institutions, borrowers and private lenders on syndicated debt facilities, cross-border financings, and real estate-backed lending. In 2022 she was named one of Canada's Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer magazine, and in 2023 BH Legal was recognized as an Excellence Awardee for Boutique Law Firm of the Year by the Canadian Law Awards. She sits on the Board of Trustees for the West Vancouver Memorial Library. She practises through a law corporation.
