Ashish (Ash) Duvadie is the founder of DUVADIE Law in Ottawa, practicing criminal, family, and immigration law. He earned his law degree at the University of Ottawa and was called to the bar in 2009, after an undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota and work in insurance litigation and urban planning in the United States. He has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Immigration and Refugee Board. His criminal defence work covers offences under the Criminal Code, the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and he has also handled charges under the Copyright Act, Income Tax Act, and Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. In family law, he has conducted trials and negotiated settlements involving custody, access, support, and property division. He is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Ottawa Carleton Defence Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association, and speaks English, French, and Nepalese with clients.
