About Anne

Anne Muter is associate counsel at Sage Legal, focused on Aboriginal law and environmental law. Before joining Sage, she spent several years doing general commercial, employment, estate, and professional regulatory litigation work, and later took time away from law to conduct interview-based graduate research on British Columbia's regulation of water in the fracking industry in Treaty 8 territory. She currently focuses on land stewardship initiatives, consultation matters, and regulatory processes and hearings, and can engage on technical aspects of major projects such as pipelines, mines, and hydroelectric dams. She holds a B.Sc., an LL.B., and an M.Sc., and is a member of the BC Bar.
