About Mackenzie

Mackenzie Curran joined Sage Legal during the pandemic, drawn to its distributed, accessible, and collaborative model and its focus on advancing Indigenous rights. She joined shortly after law school, having completed her articles at Calgary Legal Guidance, providing free legal services to low-income individuals in Calgary. During law school she also worked with a student-run legal clinic providing free family law services in Vancouver and completed co-op placements with the BC Ministry of Attorney General on human rights and family law policy, and with a boutique Aboriginal law firm serving Indigenous governments and organizations.
