About Yoon
Yoon Kang is a principal at Smart & Biggar's Toronto office who leads the firm's life sciences litigation practice, counselling global pharmaceutical companies on patent rights. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995 and achieved a Supreme Court of Canada victory in AstraZeneca Canada Inc v Apotex Inc (2017 SCC 36), which rejected the 'promise doctrine' regarding patent utility.
