About Anna

Anna Malazhavaya is the founder of Advotax Law and focuses on tax litigation, CRA audit and appeal disputes, and income tax, HST and international tax planning. She works mainly with small and medium-sized businesses, individuals and estates, with particular experience in real estate and construction industry tax issues, and represents clients at the CRA level, the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court. Anna graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2008, having completed Parts I to III of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. Before founding Advotax Law she practised tax law at a large Bay Street firm. She founded Canadian Tax Nerds, a discussion group for Canadian tax professionals, and is active in the GTA's Russian-speaking legal community. She provides services in English and Russian.
