About Andreas
Andreas (Andy) Thomas was born in Germany and emigrated to Alberta with his family at age 10, where he worked in his father's service station and restaurant. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 1979 and a law degree from Dalhousie University Law School in 1982. After articling in Alberta, he practised for nine years at a small firm in Grand Centre (now Cold Lake), handling family law, general civil litigation, criminal defence, real estate and mortgages, corporate and commercial matters, and wills, estate planning and probate. He moved to Parksville in 1993 and opened Thomas & Company in 1996, developing a focus on wills, estate planning and probate along with corporate and commercial law; since early 2022 the firm no longer handles real estate matters apart from those connected to probate and estate administration files.
