About Amy

Amy Boyd is a family lawyer in Spectrum Family Law's Edmonton office. A lifelong Edmontonian, she earned her Bachelor of Commerce and Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta, where she developed a passion for oral advocacy through competitive mock trials. After law school, Boyd articled at a large regional firm, gaining experience in civil litigation and wills and estates, and represented clients at the Alberta Court of Justice and the Alberta Court of King's Bench. She favours resolving family law matters through mediation, collaboration, and settlement where possible, while remaining ready to litigate when needed. Boyd volunteers with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and is a past treasurer of the Youth Restorative Action Project.
