About Amir

Amir Farooqi is a partner at Draper Farooqi LLP, which he co-founded in 2025. He completed the University of Alberta Faculty of Law's Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway, and holds an LL.M. from Bond University in Australia, an LL.B. from the University of London in the UK, and a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Calgary. Before co-founding the firm, he practiced at a family law firm in Sherwood Park, a boutique civil litigation firm in downtown Edmonton, and a general practice firm in Stony Plain. He practices family law and general litigation and has appeared before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Court of King's Bench, and the Alberta Court of Justice. He operated his own businesses in St. Albert before studying law, and continues to reside there with his family.
